Project Spotlight - Water World

For the team at Splashtacular, we take our commitment to being innovators of fun seriously. And as innovators of fun, there is nothing that brings us more joy than seeing families, guests, and employees of the waterparks we serve as a water slide manufacturer, having a blast at parks we helped build.

It is with great pride that we tell you about a recent project we worked on for Water World in Dothan, Alabama. When the team first approached us about the opportunity to be the water slide manufacturer for the slide complex they wanted to install. Our sales representative Randy Flint knew that Splashtacular was the perfect water slide manufacturer for this job.

Today we are going to share a bit about the project with you, but don’t take our word for any of the exciting details. Water World re-opened with the all new attractions on June 27th 2020! Meet the Splashtacular Team

At Splashtacular, we know that it takes many talented individuals to come together and see a project through to completion. The efforts for Water World were led by two of our best, Randy Flint and Kelci Younger.

Randy led the sales side working diligently with Water World to deliver a proposal that worked with their schedules. Fit within their park’s vision, and stayed within their budget. Within two days of Randy’s proposal, we were awarded the project and ready to get to work with Water World. And Aquatic Design Group, the strategic partner helping with the build.

Once the paperwork was signed, Randy transitioned the relationship to Kelci. Kelci was the project manger responsible for overseeing the installation on Splashtacular’s side. She coordinated carefully with the GM and client to ensure we were on time and on budget throughout the entire process. Kelci was also onsite two days a week which gave her the opportunity to meet the Water World family.

Before the grand reopening on June 27th, Kelci oversaw the team that double checked the installation. Ran safety tests, and helped to facilitate a pre-opening event for friends and family. At the event more than 20 members of the community had a blast being the first ones to test the slides and they loved the new lights that were installed to light up the tower for parties at night!

The New Attractions

When you stop by Water World in Dothan, Alabama this summer, you will be delighted by the new attractions you have the chance to ride. The Water World team used Splashtacular as the waterslide manufacturer for an entirely new slide complex that includes:

• Splashtacular Speed Slide into a runout
• Enclosed Body Slides into a plunge pool below
• Body Bowl into a Splash Bowl
• Multiple slides on one tower!

In addition to these new installations, you can look for even more new and exciting features coming soon! Water World has chosen Splashtacular as their waterslide manufacturer of choice for a few additional installations. That we are breaking ground on soon including our Aquatic Play Unit - Model 175 and Ground Spray Features!
